Anointing of the Sick

In case of serious illness (or advanced age) please call the priests.  For hospital cases, contact the hospital Chaplain.
The rectory should be notified as well, so a priest may visit.

Children's Liturgical Dance Please join us as we begin another season at St. John's Liturgical Dance Group. Practices are the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays (note the day change) of each month beginning October 9th from 7:00 to 8:00 PM at McLaughlin Hall. All children from the parish in 3rd Grade to 8th Grade are welcome.

The group will focus on basic dance elements while we create choreography to prayerfully deepen our relationship with Jesus. We will perform for the parish throughout the year, beginning with our Nativity Pageant in December. No dance experience is required, just a willingness to learn and be part of the body of Christ. Contact the Parish Center at 856-858-4737 for more information.

Dinners to the Doorstep

Do you know of families in need of support to help them get through a time of stress or crisis (new babies, new homes, illness, death). St. John's Parish has a group of volunteers who provide meals during a difficult time.

Call Lori Olsen at 858-0298 if you know of people who need assistance or if you'd like to volunteer to cook a meal.

Eucharistic Ministers assist in serving Holy Communion at all Masses.  They are trained during a four-part training program sponsored by the Diocesan School of Liturgy.

They are commissioned at a parish liturgy.

If you can not make the meeting but are interested in participating, please contact Jim and Mickey Steinitz at 856-858-4737 for more information.

 Young Families

Being a new parent and having a family with very young children is one of the most challenging and rewarding tasks God could ever ask of a person.

That is why St. John's would like to begin a special ministry to help young families in our parish. Part of the ministry would involve parishioners who "spiritually adopt" a family, promising prayers fro that family's welfare and paying to provide bi-yearly mailings that include small gifts from the parish and newsletters. The newsletters will give the parents helpful advice about developing the spiritual nature of their children and becoming a dedicated Catholic family. We are also hoping ot host Family Gatherings to bring our young families together and to help them to meet other caring parishioners.

There are two ways you can get involved:

1. Become a Prayer Partner for a family. We have a list of newly baptized children. Promise to dedicate some prayers and intentions for this child and their family and help provide the newsletters. Just put your name and phone # along with $20 in an envelope marked Young Family Ministry. You can place the envelope in the collection basket or send it to the rectory. We'll contact you with the family's name.

2. Volunteer to help with mailings and coordinate further family/young parent events.

If you have any questions about this new ministry, please contact Pat Lipperini at 856-858-4737
